"I can't recommend Todd enough as a team-building DM. I have never once regretted putting myself at risk to save my comrades, even when it has resulted in grievous wounds, because the luck-point mechanic that Todd employs in his game allows everyone to contribute in a meaningful and team-oriented way. When death was certain from a failed saving throw on a critical hit from a Giant Scorpion's poison stinger, my party chipped in heaps of luck points that saved me from death (though not from painful injury and unconsciousness)! When we faced an overwhelming foe, the entire team contributed luck points to lower the saving throw from a Thunderwave, and we all got to share in the victory over a Stone Golem as it plummeted from the bridge. Todd's very patient with beginners, and he's also open to creative solutions, regardless of a player's familiarity with the rules of the game. If you have an idea that you want to try, he can quickly figure out how it can work within the 5th Edition D&D framework. Using 'the rule of cool', Todd makes room for the creative (especially if your idea benefits the whole team), while making sure the game remains balanced and challenging.
