FAQ

How do you handle cancelations?

Game sessions can be canceled for a refund or rescheduled at no cost provided notice is given the day before the event. Cancelations after that point cannot be refunded.

Do you offer games in systems other than D&D 5e?

Not at this time, although as we grow and as interest warrants, we might start to offer other versions of D&D, including Pathfinder.

What virtual tabletop (VTT) do you use?

We run our games through Foundry VTT, using D&D Beyond to store character sheets, using a complex suite of mods to add flair and speed the whole process along.

What do you use for voice/video chat?

We offer a choice between Roll20’s native voice/video or our Discord server, with continuing campaigns being given private channels for discussion and notes. Both voice and video are supported, with video being optional.

What other services do you provide?

In addition to one-shot games, recurring campaigns, Adventurer’s League play, and team-building offerings for corporate clients, we also offer instructive roleplaying sessions for homeschool groups, as well as private tutoring for DMs.

Do you use the X card in your games?

Yes, we do. The X card is a tool used in roleplaying games that give the players a way of communicating with the person running the game that something in the game is making them uncomfortable. Sitting around a table, each player has a literal card with an X on it that they can tap to let the DM know. Since our games our virtual, we ensure our players know that they can whisper “XXXX” to the DM to achieve the same effect. No other player needs to know, the game doesn’t need to stop, and the DM knows that they should contact that player privately outside of play to understand better what to avoid. No reasons need be given, and often a player won’t know what will trigger their unease until it happens. We see no reason to include sexual violence, excessive gore or torture, or harm done to children in our games, but if other topics are problematic, our DMs will avoid them to the extent necessary to make sure everyone is having a good time and able to feel comfortable and heroic.
